Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Lead to work for a large not for profit organisation, specialising in working with youth and young adults who are facing mental health challenges. This role would oversee a team of 10 Clinicians and provide them with supervision and support, as well as managing and overseeing the operations of the service.

- Base Salary of $104-140k plus super, plus salary packaging FTE
n
- Contract role until March 2027 initially with the possibility of extension
n
- Position based in the Inner West
n
- Oversee a team of 10 Clinicians - most are part time, 2-3 days/week

About the organisation

n

This organisation run a leading national program focussed on the mental health of young people. They have run this service for a number of years and also have a number of other programs and projects that they run in the community, supporting those in need.

Duties

n

n
- It's possible to carry a small caseload, however the main focus of the role is to provide clinical supervision and oversight to the team
n
- Manage a team of 10 direct reports – most of these are part time
n
- Supervise student placements via training, supervision and performance management.
n




- Proactively support team well-being and relevant learning and development for staff
n
- Lead, develop and oversee implementation and evaluation of services to young people (12-25 years) and their families.
n
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders (GPs, contracted clinicians, co-located staff, administration staff) to ensure service priorities are met
n
- Ensure services delivered by the team meet practice standards and are based on evidence based best practice principles.
n
- Ensure services are delivered in line with client need, contractual requirements, evidence-informed practice and organisational practice standards.

Requirements

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or other relevant field with AHPRA registration or other registration in place. We would consider Accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSW)

- Previous experience in managing staff
n
- Experience working with youth and young people in the mental health area
n
