Cook / Kitchen Team Member – 38 KATSU Canberra Centre

38 KATSU is a busy Japanese comfort food restaurant located in Canberra Centre. We specialise in premium katsu, udon, soba, curry, donburi and other Japanese favourites, all prepared with a strong focus on quality, consistency and teamwork.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our growing team. This is a fast-paced environment, and we're looking for someone who can work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high food and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

- Food preparation and service during busy lunch and dinner periods
- Cooking and plating menu items according to company standards
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
- Dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning duties when required
- Receiving and storing deliveries
- Assisting with stock rotation and food safety procedures
- Supporting other kitchen team members as needed
- Performing all reasonable kitchen duties as directed by management

Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude




- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- High standards of cleanliness and personal presentation
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays
- Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual tasks
