Position Details

Kiama Community College is seeking a passionate Course Manager to lead Community Services and Health training programs that build workforce capability and strengthen community wellbeing.

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours: 37.5 per week

Location: Batemans Bay or Mundamia (Nowra) NSW (with regular travel between sites)

Salary: commencing salary at $100,834.50 p.a. + annual leave loading + super + NFP salary packaging

About The Role

Kiama Community College works closely with South Coast Community College in a strategic partnership to ensure quality delivery of our programs across the South Coast region.

The Course Manager will work collaboratively with colleagues from both organisations. You will be responsible for the management, delivery and continuous improvement of accredited training programs in qualifications that relate to Community Services delivery such as Individual Support. You will support trainers and students and ensure compliance with ASQA standards and engage with industry to align training with workforce needs.

As Course Manager, you will provide educational and operational leadership across the Community Services and Health training portfolio, ensuring high-quality, industry-relevant and compliant training that supports robust learner and workforce outcomes.

- Lead, support and develop a team of trainers and assessors
- Manage high-quality and compliant training across the Community Services and Health training portfolio
- Achieve and maintain compliance with ASQA standards and RTO regulatory requirements
- Ensure trainer and assessor vocational competency, industry currency and professional development requirements are met
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers, community organisations and industry stakeholders
- Monitor learner engagement, retention, completion and training outcomes
- Ensure programs meet training package, regulatory, funding and organisational requirements
- Drive quality, compliance and continuous improvement in training and assessment




- Identifying opportunities to enhance program delivery, industry responsiveness and workforce outcomes

Essential Requirements

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
- Demonstrated vocational education and industry expertise within the Community Services and Health sector, including a strong understanding of current industry practices, workforce requirements, training package standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate vocational education and training programs within Community Services and/or Health, which may include areas such as Community Services, Disability, Mental Health, Aged Care, Individual Support and Health Services.
- Current Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check
- First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- C Class Driver’s Licence
