The Prospect As a Credit Analyst, you'll play a key role in assessing business lending applications, making informed credit decisions, and helping deliver positive outcomes for our customers and partners. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive credit team where your judgement, commercial thinking and problem-solving skills will be valued. You'll manage the end-to-end assessment of business loan applications, balancing risk considerations with customer outcomes and looking beyond the standard application to identify lending opportunities where appropriate.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, brokers and business partners, you'll communicate lending decisions clearly and confidently while contributing to a strong risk and compliance culture. You'll also be part of an organisation that embraces continuous learning, innovation and agile ways of working.
What you'll be doing
- Assess business lending applications from submission through to decision.
- Analyse financial and business information to evaluate creditworthiness.
- Apply lending policies, credit criteria and regulatory requirements.
- Identify creative lending solutions while maintaining sound risk judgement.
- Communicate decisions and rationale to internal stakeholders and partners.
- Contribute to a culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships across the business and with external partners.

You'll ideally bring
- Experience in credit analysis, lending, underwriting or a related financial services environment.
- Strong financial analysis and decision-making skills.
- The ability to assess risk while identifying opportunities to support customers.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence explaining credit decisions.
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
- A collaborative approach and a desire to contribute to a positive team culture.
- An interest in continuous learning and professional development.
