Role Description This part-time Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) role at Magno Human Resources Laboratory is a hybrid position based in Melbourne, VIC, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home tasks. The role involves collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from internal systems and external sources to support human resources and business insights.
The Data
Analyst will assist in building basic reports and dashboards, performing statistical analyses, and supporting data modeling activities under the guidance of more senior team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include validating data quality, documenting methodologies, preparing clear summaries of findings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs. The role also involves contributing to internal process improvements, maintaining accurate records, and learning current tools and techniques to enhance analytics capability.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and foundational Data Analytics capabilities for interpreting datasets and identifying trends.
- Candidates should possess basic knowledge of Statistics to conduct simple quantitative analyses and understand statistical concepts relevant to HR data.
- Candidates should possess Communication skills to present findings clearly, create concise reports, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess introductory Data Modeling skills to support the design of structured data sets and assist in building simple analytical models.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and at least one data or visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Candidates should possess the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks in a part-time schedule, and adapt in a hybrid work environment.
- Candidates should possess relevant education or training in data analytics, statistics, information systems, or a related discipline (degree, diploma, or certified course).
- Candidates should possess an interest in human resources and business operations; previous internship or project experience in data analysis is beneficial but not required.
