Role Description This part-time, entry / junior Data Analyst role at Wege Metal Company is a hybrid position based in Melbourne, VIC, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and organizing operational and production data from various internal systems. The role involves performing basic analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.

The Data

Analyst will help build simple reports and dashboards, prepare visualizations to communicate findings, and support senior analysts and managers with ad hoc data requests. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is expected to clarify data requirements and ensure that insights are presented clearly and accurately.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.




- Foundational experience or education in data analytics and data modeling.
- Basic understanding of statistics and ability to apply statistical concepts to real-world data.
- Clear, skilled communication skills for explaining data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with common analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or business intelligence platforms) is beneficial.
- Relevant tertiary studies in data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field (completed or in progress) are preferred.
