Line 1 Risk Analyst | Financial Services

The Opportunity

n

Support execution of the risk framework by assisting in the identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of operational risks. This is a hands‐on role for an analyst who wants to build risk capability, ensure regulatory compliance, and support divisional resilience.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Risk & Governance Reporting: Manage risk management documentation and record accurate KRI metrics within GRC systems.
n
- Issues & Audit Resolution: Monitor, track, and remediate operational issues, regulatory actions, and internal audit findings through to completion.
n
- Compliance & Obligations: Map external regulatory obligations and internal policies to existing operational processes. Conduct gap analyses on regulatory changes and maintain compliance monitoring programs.
n
- Control Reviews & Risk Assessments: Evaluate control effectiveness, process maps, and business self‐assessments against established Risk Appetite Statements (RAS).
n
- Operational Continuity & Vendor Risk: Support third‐party risk reviews and ongoing vendor monitoring.



Coordinate testing and updates for Business Continuity Plans (BCP).

- Risk Education & Capability: Partner with divisional teams to deliver training, improve risk culture, and support Line 1 operations.

About You

n

n
- 2 years minimum in a risk management, compliance, or audit role within a regulated workplace (financial services preferred).
n
- Proficiency in risk management systems and data analysis tools.
n
- Experience with operational risk frameworks, incident management, root cause analysis, and control design.
n
- Ability to translate risk concepts into business solutions and manage multiple priorities.
n
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or industry qualifications advantageous.
n
