Residential Care Officer

Location: Moonta, SA, 5558
n
Full-Time: Immediate start
n
Salary range: $79,500 - $86,550 per year, depending on skill level + Superannuation. Overtime and Penalty Rates are also available.
n
Job Closure date: 30 days

About the Role
n
As a Residential Care Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting older adults to live with dignity, comfort and choice. You'll deliver compassionate, person-centred care in a welcoming community, working alongside a dedicated team that truly values respect, inclusion and quality of life.
n
DUTIES
n
n
- Keep resident documentation accurate and current, including daily notes, care assessments, and care plans.
n
- Monitor and record any changes in residents' needs, promptly reporting concerns.
n
- Make residents' beds and ensure fresh, clean linen is always available.
n
- Keep residents' clothing stored neatly and organised.
n
- Correctly return laundered clothing to the appropriate residents' rooms.
n
- Assist with meal service, supporting residents during mealtimes as needed.
n
- Help deliver specialized nursing care under supervision, following individual care plans.
n
- Provide consistently high standards of care and support to all residents.
n
- Encourage residents' independence by assisting with personal care respectfully and in line with their care plan.
n
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, families, GPs, and allied health professionals to ensure prompt, courteous service.
n
- Uphold residents' rights to privacy, confidentiality, choice, and decision-making always.
n
- Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
n
- Engage proactively and cooperatively as part of the wider care team.
n
- Build and nurture positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
n
- Support compliance with the Aged Care Standards and company policies.
n
- Remain adaptable and responsive to organisational needs and changes.
n
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and mandatory education programs.
n
- Identify personal training needs and take part in ongoing learning.
n
- Contribute to workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Recognize and report potential risks or complaints relevant to the role.
n
- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S;) policies and safe work practices.
n
- Take responsibility for maintaining a safe environment for yourself, your team, and residents.
n
- Adhere to all relevant legislation and workplace requirements.
n

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
n
n
- Up-to-date annual flu vaccination and full COVID-19 immunization.
n
- Signed statutory declaration disclosing any serious overseas criminal history.
n
- Minimum 1-year relevant, full‐time experience.
n
- Diploma/relevant qualification.
n
- Satisfactory police check.
n
- Valid driver's license and own transport.
n
- Team player with a genuine commitment to long-term employment.
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (within 5 years) Preferable.
n
