SCF is looking for a Data & Reporting Analyst to join our growing Commercial Finance team in Adelaide.

This isn't a role where you'll simply pull reports, update spreadsheets and send numbers into the void. We're restructuring our Commercial Finance function to become a stronger commercial partner to the business - using data, insights and analysis to help shape better decisions.

With new shareholder support behind us and an exciting growth agenda ahead, this is a great opportunity to join an established business that is ready to challenge the status quo.

About SCF

SCF is one of Australia’s leading providers of container solutions, supplying storage and transport solutions across tanks, general transport, buildings and storage. We’re an established and successful business with a reputation built on innovation, quality and delivering on what we promise.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you'll build and maintain the datasets, models and dashboards that Group Commercial Finance runs on. You'll extract, transform, validate, model and visualise data from multiple systems using Excel, SQL, Power Query and Power BI, and turn it into reporting leaders trust — working alongside the Head of Commercial Finance and the Finance Business Partner, who carry the stakeholder relationships and the commercial calls.

- Extract, cleanse, reconcile and validate data from across the group using Excel, SQL and Power Query
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reporting models and KPI reporting that people trust
- Prepare the data packs,

reconciliations and analysis behind monthly reporting and performance reviews
- Support budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis and modelling across revenue, margin, cost, assets and cash flow
- Find the manual, clunky processes and automate them — then document the workflows, logic and assumptions so it lasts
- Keep data definitions, version control and reporting governance tight enough that the numbers stand up to scrutiny
- Work with Sales, Operations and Customer Service to understand what's really driving the numbers

What you'll bring

- Experience in data, reporting, business intelligence or analytics — ideally in finance, logistics or a multi-site, asset-heavy business
- Advanced Excel, plus hands-on SQL, Power Query and Power BI (DAX, Microsoft Fabric or Azure exposure is a bonus)
- A tertiary qualification in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Information Systems or similar
- A solid grasp of the finance and operational measures that drive the business — revenue, margin, cost, utilisation, asset and working capital data
- An eye for when the numbers don't look right, and the persistence to chase down why
- A problem solver's mindset — comfortable with a blank page, happy to try a different approach,

and not afraid to put a better idea on the table
- The communication skills to explain your work simply to people who don't live in the data — and the judgement to know when a commercial call belongs with the Business Partner

What's in it for you

- Real exposure. You'll work directly with the Head of Commercial Finance, Financial Controller and Finance team, and your reporting goes to the CFO, Executive Leadership Team and Divisional General Managers — your work lands in front of the people making the calls
- Room to grow. A role in a function being deliberately built up, with genuine development and career pathways behind it
- Backing to think differently. Recent shareholders who want us growing and challenging the status quo, not repeating last year's report
- A close team. Small, tight-knit and collaborative, where your effort gets noticed, recognised and rewarded — not lost in a layer of process
- An established business. The stability of a market leader with the energy of a company in growth mode, based in Adelaide

Good to know The role is based in Adelaide and full-time, with no direct reports. Some out-of-hours work may be required from time to time, along with occasional intrastate, interstate or international travel.
