About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for a Data Engineer to join a large enterprise organisation, helping build a brand-current enterprise data product from the ground up.

This is not a traditional Data Engineering position focused on maintaining existing ETL pipelines. Instead, you'll play a key role in developing a scalable, product-based data platform centred around Data Vault architecture, reusable DBT Core frameworks and modern cloud technologies.

Working closely with Solution Architects and internal business stakeholders, you'll help design reusable engineering frameworks capable of ingesting data from multiple source systems, while also contributing to the application layer using Streamlit.

This is an initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension, offering the opportunity to contribute to a strategic enterprise initiative with significant long-term potential as the platform continues to expand.

You Should Have

- 4+ years' commercial Data Engineering experience
- Strong SQL, Snowflake and Python development experience
- Commercial experience with DBT Core, including reusable macro development
- Experience with dimensional modelling principles
- Commercial exposure to Data Vault architecture
- Ability to design reusable, scalable data products rather than one-off data pipelines
- Strong understanding of solution architecture and enterprise data design
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Collaborative, product-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability
