DB2 System Programmer

Role Focus: Global team responsible for building, configuring, and administering Bank Mainframe systems (Parallel Sysplex workplace).

Key Responsibilities & Experience:

10 years of experience as a Mainframe DB2 System Programmer.

Installation, upgrades, configuration, and performance tuning for DB2 and associated third-party/OEM products (IBM, CA, BMC).

Maintenance of DSNTIP/DSNTIJUZ ZPARM parameters, SMF/RSU maintenance, and SMP/E procedures.

Disaster recovery implementation (traditional DR and FlashCopy DR).

DB2 Data Sharing across LPARs, IDAA (IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator), WLM stored procedures, RACF security, and catalog/directory housekeeping.

Level 3 DB2 database support, 24/7 on-call availability, and ticketing tool management (Remedy, ServiceNow).
