Gerringong Dental is Seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Join the friendly team at Gerringong Dental! We’re looking for a warm, reliable and motivated Part time Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team and play an important role in creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

This is a varied role, combining reception, patient care and dental assisting. You’ll be working closely with our clinical and reception teams to keep the practice running smoothly while ensuring our patients feel welcomed, comfortable and well cared for.

You’ll also play an important role in sterilisation, infection control and maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the practice.

About the Role

- Answering phone enquiries and assisting patients with appointment bookings
- Managing patient enquiries and providing exceptional customer service
- Reception administration, accounts and processing payments via EFTPOS and HICAPS
- Preparing patients, treatment rooms and facilities for dental procedures
- Assisting our dentists and clinical team during treatments
- Instrument sterilisation and maintaining strict infection control procedures
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice
- Building genuine and positive relationships with our patients

About You

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, caring and proactive,



with a genuine passion for helping people. Ideally, you will have:

- 1+ years’ experience in the dental industry (preferred, but not essential)
- Experience with CareStack or other dental practice management software is highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional and approachable manner
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organised
- A positive, energetic attitude and willingness to get involved
- The ability to work confidently in a busy, fast-paced environment
- A genuine interest in providing an exceptional patient experience
- A team-focused attitude and willingness to support your colleagues
