Lasers in Medicine is seeking a full-time Dermal Clinician to join our clinical team. This is a skin and laser role in the fullest sense.
Our dermal clinicians manage skin health programs end to end — assessment, diagnosis-informed treatment planning, device-based treatment, cosmeceutical prescribing and long-term patient review. Injectables are not part of this position.
If you want to work somewhere your assessment skills are actually used, where treatment plans are built on clinical reasoning rather than package sales, and where you have a doctor available to consult on the complex cases, this role will suit you.
About the role
You will take patients through a complete course of care, from first consultation to long-term maintenance.
The role involves
- Comprehensive skin assessment, imaging and analysis
- Designing evidence-led treatment plans for pigmentation, acne and scarring, rosacea and vascular concerns, ageing and skin quality
- Delivering laser and energy-based treatments across fractional, non-ablative, picosecond, vascular and resurfacing platforms
- Chemical peels, skin needling, LED and complementary modalities
- Cosmeceutical and home-care prescribing, with genuine patient education behind it
- Clinical photography, documentation and outcome tracking
- Recognising when a concern sits outside dermal scope and referring appropriately to our medical team
You will be supported to develop advanced device skills, and you will be expected to understand the physics and the biology behind what you are doing. About you
- A Bachelor of Health Science (Dermal Therapies / Clinical Aesthetics), Advanced Diploma, or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated experience in clinical skin treatments and skin assessment
- Working knowledge of laser and energy-based devices, or a strong appetite to learn them properly
- Solid understanding of skin anatomy, physiology and the mechanisms behind the treatments you deliver
- Excellent consultation and communication skills — able to explain, educate and set realistic expectations
- Strong documentation and attention to detail
- Professional indemnity insurance and relevant industry membership (ASDC, APAN or equivalent)
- A collaborative approach and commitment to ongoing career development
