Transferable backgrounds that can work

Senior accountants from banking, investment operations, insurance, large not-for-profit organisations, universities or regulated industries may transfer well. What is probably not enough

General month-end reporting, accounts payable supervision or basic financial analysis without treasury, trust, restricted asset or comparable governance responsibility is unlikely to be enough. Simply being a qualified accountant will not establish senior-level capability.
