Design Manager | Commercial Construction

They are now seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview The Design Manager will lead and manage the design process from concept through to construction, ensuring design solutions are practical, compliant, commercially viable and aligned with client requirements.

This is a key role for a design-focused construction professional with a strong understanding of construction detailing, a proven ability to develop compelling design solutions, and experience securing projects in competitive ECI environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design process from concept through to construction, ensuring outcomes meet project, budget, and client requirements.
- Develop innovative, practical, and cost-effective design solutions to successfully compete against ECI competitors.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants,



and construction teams to ensure designs are coordinated, buildable and commercially viable.
- Oversee detailed construction drawings and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Manage design risks, programmes, client relationships, and deliverables to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

About You

- Minimum 5 years' experience in Design Management within the commercial construction industry.
- Proven track record of winning work against ECI competitors through strong design, constructability, and commercial outcomes.
- Robust construction detailing and documentation experience with a practical understanding of buildability.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and attention to detail.
- Proficient with relevant design and project management software, with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM experience highly regarded.
