Currently seeking a despatch worker with forklift experience to assist managing a facility that manufactures and supplies agricultural silicon products to growers across Australia. Demand has grown sharply and we need someone to operate within the physical and administrative flow of goods in and out of our Brendale site.
This is a hands-on role with an office component. You will spend part of your day on a forklift moving product, and part of your day in front of a screen or on the phone making sure orders move, customers are informed and freight is booked. The role suits someone who is comfortable switching between the two and who takes it personally when an order sits waiting.
Key responsibilities
- Pick, stage and prepare customer orders accurately for despatch.
- Load and unload trucks safely using a forklift and complete inbound/outbound checks.
- Process online orders from receipt through to despatch confirmation.
- Book freight and courier services, including coordinating transport for larger or customer-specific deliveries.
- Receive incoming stock against purchase orders,
check quantities/condition and put stock away correctly.
- Maintain accurate inventory, shipping records, customer notes and order documentation.
- Assist with customer delivery enquiries, order updates and freight issue resolution.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse and assist with stock-takes and cycle counts.
Requirements
- Current forklift licence (LF) with demonstrated experience in a warehouse or despatch environment.
- Some experience picking, packing, loading and receiving goods against system records.
- Confidence using warehouse, order or freight booking systems, and a willingness to learn recent ones quickly.
- Clear phone and written communication, and the confidence to call a customer without being prompted.
- Accuracy, enthusiasm and willing to work within a small and growing team.
- Physical fitness for a warehouse role and a genuine commitment to safe work practices.
