YOUR IMPACT
Diabetes Victoria is seeking an organised and community-minded Diabetes Camps Victoria Support Officer to provide administrative and practical support for the delivery of camps and youth programs for children living with type 1 diabetes.
This varied role is an opportunity to contribute to safe, high-quality programs that help young people build confidence, connect with their peers and enjoy new experiences in a supportive environment.
Reporting to the Youth Programs Coordinator, you will work closely with the Diabetes Camps Victoria team, families, volunteers, health professionals and partner organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for Diabetes Camps Victoria camps and youth programs.
- Act as a point of contact for prospective and confirmed campers, families, volunteers and health professionals.
- Assist with booking camp venues, accommodation, catering, activities, and transport, and coordinate orders for camp resources, including lanyards, clothing, and other materials.
- Prepare and format forms, posters, flyers and program collateral.
- Maintain accurate camper, volunteer and health professional records and databases and monitor documentation.
- Support marketing and fundraising activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain office and off-site storage facilities.
ABOUT YOU
You are a capable and dependable administrator who enjoys supporting programs that make a meaningful difference. You are highly organised, attentive to detail and comfortable communicating with children, families, volunteers, health professionals and other stakeholders.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Demonstrated administrative experience in an office environment.
- Experience maintaining databases and completing accurate data entry.
- An understanding of the care and sensitivity required when working with children, families, volunteers and diverse communities.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a current Victorian Police Check, Working with Children Check and hold a valid driver’s licence.
