About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to clients across Victoria. You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of participants and support services, broadening your experience while making a genuine impact every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities
- Supporting clients with domestic duties and meal preparation
- Assisting with community access, appointments, social outings and recreational activities
- Encouraging independence and supporting clients to achieve their individual goals
- Completing accurate documentation and reporting
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and other support staff
What We're Looking For
- Epilepsy Seizure Management - Midazolam Training highly regarded
- Minimum 6 months experience as a Disability Support Worker in Australia
- Certificate 3 in Disability, Individual Support or another relevant qualification (or higher)
- Availability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Employee Working with Children Check
- Current Medication Administration and Manual Handling Certificate with at least 12 months' practical experience
- Current Victorian driver's licence (Learner's permit will not be accepted)
- Availability to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
- Current COVID-19 (2 doses and a booster) and Flu vaccinations
