Alliance Community are looking for experienced Disability Support Staff to work with a 12-year-old child who is non-verbal and requires suctioning and PEG feeding. You will become part of their daily life in the inner northern suburbs, assisting with outings, occasional family trips and support in the home.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with outings and occasional family trips
- Support in the home assisting with daily household tasks including washing, cleaning, appointments, shopping, cooking and meal preparation
- Provide support for a child with complex medical needs including suctioning and PEG feeding
- Work shifts ranging from full days to second assist transfers
About you
- Cert 3 in Individual Support (essential)
- Certificate 4 in Disability (highly regarded)
- Experience with Dysphagia (required)
- Working with Children's Check
- NDISWC
- Current First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling training certificates
