About the role

The Shire of Ravensthorpe is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Ranger to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a positive impact on the community.

As a Senior Ranger, you will lead and manage a small team of rangers providing guidance, training and support to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a customer-focused Ranger service to the Shire’s residents, businesses and visitors.

You shall hold a current C class license as a minimum and demonstrate essential experience as a Ranger in Local Government while enforcing the relevant Act’s, Local Laws, Legislation and successfully completed training in Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS) 1 and 2, Dog and Cat Management and Control; and Firearm Handling. You will also have or be working towards Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services).

Conditions

- Previous experience in a senior ranger or similar leadership role within local government or a related sector
- Demonstrate ability to motivate and support team members
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven problem solving and conflict resolution abilities
- First Aid certificate
- Certificate IV in Government (Ranger Services) or equivalent qualifications
- Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol
- National police clearance

A total salary package up to $123,423pa will be offered dependent on employment conditions, qualifications, skills and experience as per the Ravensthorpe Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2023.
