About the Role
n
Eastern Guruma is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide strong financial leadership, governance and control across our corporate, project, service and joint venture activities.
n
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a key role responsible for financial control, statutory and financial accounting, treasury, finance operations, taxation, audit coordination and the integrity of our financial systems and records.
n
You will lead the day-to-day Finance function, support a high-performing team and work closely with the CFO and operational leaders to ensure robust financial governance, compliance and working-capital discipline.
n
As Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial control and transactional finance functions of the business while providing leadership and support to the wider Finance team.
n
Your key responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Leading the month-end and year-end financial close process and reviewing financial results prior to submission to the CFO.
n
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, provisions and other financial-control schedules.
n
- Ensuring financial records are accurate and maintained in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards, legislation and company requirements.
n
- Coordinating the preparation of statutory financial statements.
n
- Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll interfaces, banking administration, credit control and expense management.
n
- Managing treasury processes, banking arrangements, cash position and liquidity.
n
- Driving strong working-capital management across receivables, payables, billing and aged debt.
n
- Managing finance-related statutory obligations including GST, BAS, PAYG withholding, FBT, payroll tax and superannuation.
n
- Coordinating external audits and ensuring audit actions are completed within required timeframes.
n
- Maintaining and continuously improving financial controls, delegations, system access, reconciliations and approval processes.
n
- Supporting Finance system governance, data integrity, automation and process improvement.
n
- Leading, coaching and developing Finance team members and maintaining effective workflow across the function.
n
- Providing the CFO with timely advice on financial control, liquidity, compliance and financial risk.
n
- Reviewing management-accounting outputs for financial integrity and consistency before Executive or Board reporting.
n
- Working collaboratively with operational and corporate stakeholders across the business.

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
n
n
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or related discipline.
n
- A current CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualificationis highly desirable.
n
- Demonstrated senior financial accounting or finance management experience within a complex, project-based or multi-entity organisation.
n
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, Australian Accounting Standards, statutory reporting, taxation, audit and internal controls.
n
- Experience managing financial close, balance sheet governance, treasury, working capital and statutory compliance.
n
- Strong experience with financial systems, ERP controls, banking administration and Microsoft Excel.
n
- Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management and team development.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
n
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder-management skills.
n
- Experience within mining, civil, construction, facilities management, contracting or another project-based environment will be highly regarded.
n
- A strong commitment to ethics, confidentiality, integrity and professional conduct.
n
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
n
- Ability to successfully complete and pass a full pre-employment medical.
n
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
n
- Must be currently residing in Perth or willing and able to relocate to Perth, WA
