Role Description

Singh Homes is seeking a creative and commercially minded Display Home & Product Designer to join our team in Epping.

This role will focus on the development of new home designs, display homes and residential product ranges, from initial concept through to a design that is attractive, functional, buildable and commercially viable.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Victorian residential housing market and an ability to create homes that appeal to today’s buyers while maintaining efficient construction outcomes and competitive pricing.

You will work closely with the Directors, Sales, Marketing, Estimating, Drafting, Procurement and Construction teams to continually develop and improve the Singh Homes product offering.

Key Responsibilities

- Design new residential floor plans for Singh Homes’ product and display-home ranges.
- Develop innovative concepts for single-storey and double-storey homes across different lot widths and buyer segments.
- Design and develop display homes from initial concept through to final layout and presentation.




- Create and develop new façade concepts and architectural styles that strengthen the Singh Homes product range.
- Review existing home designs and identify opportunities to improve layouts, functionality, appearance and market appeal.
- Develop product variations, alternative layouts and options that can be offered to customers.
- Consider furniture placement, room proportions, natural light, circulation and overall liveability when developing designs.
- Work with Interior Design/Colour teams on display-home concepts, materials, finishes and overall design direction.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to understand customer feedback, market trends and emerging buyer preferences.
- Work closely with Estimating and Procurement to ensure designs are cost-effective and commercially viable.
- Collaborate with Drafting and Construction teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
- Understand and incorporate Victorian planning requirements, building regulations, ResCode and relevant NCC requirements.
- Review competitor products, display villages and broader housing/design trends to identify opportunities for new products.
- Assist in developing complete product ranges with appropriate house sizes, lot widths, façades and upgrade opportunities.
- Maintain consistency in design standards and the overall architectural identity of Singh Homes.

Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification in Architecture, Building Design,



Interior Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline.
- Residential housing design experience is highly regarded, particularly with a volume, project or custom home builder.
- Demonstrated ability to create functional and commercially attractive residential floor plans.
- Strong understanding of display-home and residential product design.
- Good understanding of Victorian residential construction, planning requirements and building regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant architectural/design software such as ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar.
- Strong visual and design presentation skills.
- Ability to balance design, customer appeal, construction practicality and cost.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
