Document Controller
· 6-month casual contract - NOR based

Western Work Force is seeking an experienced Document Controller for a casual contract opportunity with our client, a well-established construction and engineering business.
This role would suit a highly organised and detail-focused Document Controller who is confident managing project registers, documentation and workflows. The position is offered at 5 days per week, 38 hours, with flexibility around start and finish times.
About the Role
Working closely with engineering, project and administrative teams, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate project documentation, registers and document workflows, ensuring information is controlled, traceable and readily accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming and outgoing project documentation, drawings, correspondence and transmittals.
- Create and maintain project spreadsheets, registers and document control systems.
- Maintain document registers, revision histories, document numbering and project records.
- Manage document workflows, including reviews, approvals, revisions, transmittals and distribution.
- Ensure documents are correctly numbered, filed, controlled and archived.
- Monitor outstanding actions, approvals and review cycles, proactively following up with relevant stakeholders.
- Support engineering and project teams with document formatting, filing and distribution.
- Navigate and maintain technical registers and project documentation.
- Assist with document close-out, handover packages and general project administration as required.
About You
- You will be organised, proactive and highly detail-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a project workplace.
- Previous experience in a Document Controller or similar project administration role.
- Ideally, experience within construction, mining or engineering.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with experience creating and maintaining spreadsheets and project registers.
- Understanding of document workflows, revision control, transmittals and approval processes.
- Experience using electronic document management systems.
- Aconex experience highly regarded.
- Strong data-entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong understanding of document numbering systems and document control procedures.
- Ability to navigate technical registers and maintain accurate project records.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Excellent time management with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive approach to following up outstanding actions and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while supporting project and engineering teams.
