About the role

Furlissimo Dog Grooming is seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Alfred Cove, WA, this role is perfect for someone who loves working with dogs and takes pride in delivering exceptional grooming services. As a Dog Groomer, you will play a vital part in ensuring our clients look and feel their best whilst maintaining high standards of animal welfare and care.

Key responsibilities

- Bathe, dry and groom dogs according to breed standards and client specifications
- Perform nail trimming, ear cleaning and other routine grooming procedures with precision and care
- Assess dogs' skin and coat conditions and communicate any health concerns to owners
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic grooming environment at all times
- Handle dogs with patience, compassion and professionalism to ensure their comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate records of grooming services and customer preferences
- Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with dog owners
- Adhere to animal welfare standards and best practice grooming techniques
- Work collaboratively with the Furlissimo team to ensure smooth operations

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a skilled dog groomer or equivalent training in pet grooming
- Strong understanding of animal welfare and handling techniques
- Calm, patient temperament and genuine love for working with animals
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to understand client requirements
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of grooming




- Relevant qualifications or certifications in pet grooming or animal care (preferred)
- Current knowledge of health and safety practices in animal care settings
