About the role

Club Taree is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our management team on a full-time basis. Based in Taree, NSW, this is a pivotal position within our hospitality operations. As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of club operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining high standards of safety and compliance, and creating a welcoming environment for our members and guests.

This role is integral to the smooth running of the club and directly impacts member satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

Oversee all club operations during assigned shifts, including food and beverage service, gaming facilities, and member services

- Manage staff supervision and scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels and high-performance standards
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including gaming, licensing, and workplace safety requirements
- Handle member inquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly and maintaining positive relationships
- Monitor cash handling procedures and financial transactions to maintain accuracy and security
- Maintain and enforce club policies and procedures across all departments
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards are met
- Respond to emergencies and unusual situations with professionalism and sound judgement
- Liaise with senior management regarding operational issues, staffing matters, and member feedback
- Contribute to the development and implementation of club initiatives and improvements

What we're looking for Proven experience in hospitality or club management, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity

- Strong knowledge of gaming, liquor licensing, and relevant hospitality legislation
- Excellent leadership and staff management skills with the ability to motivate and train team members
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS)



systems and basic financial management
- Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements and incident management
- Solid organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Current ARCG (Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling) certification
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification
- Current Advanced First Aid Certification
- A valid working with children check (WWC) may be required depending on club activities
