Ongoing Opportunity | Manufacturing Workplace | Immediate Start We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong electrical fault-finding skills, PLC experience and a background working with automated production machinery.
You will be responsible for keeping production equipment running efficiently, responding to breakdowns and completing preventative maintenance across a busy manufacturing facility.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Electrical maintenance, repairs and fault finding on manufacturing equipment
- Diagnosing electrical faults and minimising production downtime
- Fault finding and troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery
- Working with automated production lines, motors, sensors, drives and control systems
- Preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Responding to machinery breakdowns and completing repairs efficiently
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Identifying recurring faults and assisting with equipment improvements
- Supporting machine installations, upgrades and modifications
- Working closely with production and maintenance teams
- Completing maintenance documentation and reports
- Following all WHS,
electrical and site safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Electrical Fitter / Electrician with relevant Australian electrical qualifications/licensing
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, food or industrial environment
- Strong PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting experience
- Experience working with automated manufacturing machinery
- Strong electrical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with motors, VSDs, sensors and industrial control systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a maintenance team
- Reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
