- Provide advanced emergency stabilisation, treatment and patient monitoring
- Perform or develop your skills in procedures including mechanical ventilation, pericardiocentesis, central line placement, thoracic drain placement and endoscopy
- Develop thorough diagnostic and treatment plans while providing clear, compassionate communication to clients
- Work collaboratively with specialists, emergency veterinarians, residents, interns, nurses and support teams
- Participate in clinical discussions and share knowledge across the hospital
- Maintain high standards of patient care, clinical documentation and professional communication
- Contribute positively to the supportive, respectful and collaborative culture that makes VSOS special

You will

Why you’ll love working at VSOS
- Above-average remuneration tailored to your experience
- Mentorship and clinical guidance from an Emergency and Critical Care Specialist
- Access to multidisciplinary specialist support
- Exposure to complex emergency, referral medicine and surgical cases
- Experienced emergency nurses and a broader clinical support team
- Advanced diagnostic, treatment and monitoring capabilities
- A generous continuing education allowance and dedicated CE leave
- Opportunities to develop your clinical interests and advance your emergency and critical care skills
- Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance for eligible candidates

The VSOS culture
We know that culture isn’t created by a sentence in a job advertisement, it’s created by how people are treated every day. At VSOS, we want our people to feel welcomed, supported, respected and comfortable being themselves.
We value clinicians who ask questions, share ideas, support their teammates and care deeply about both their patients and the people around them.
Our hospital brings together people with different specialties, backgrounds and levels of experience, however we operate as one team. We share knowledge, celebrate each other’s wins and step in for one another when things get busy.
We also make time to recognise the people who make VSOS what it is, through hospital events, team celebrations, employee recognition and the everyday moments that make a demanding shift feel worthwhile.
We work hard, have a laugh and genuinely enjoy working together. We’re serious about exceptional veterinary care, but we don’t believe that professionalism has to come at the expense of personality, connection or fun.
