About The Role Great engagement does not happen by accident—it is imagined, organised and brought to life. Canberra Grammar School is seeking a creative, highly organised and detail-oriented Engagement Coordinator to help deliver memorable events, compelling campaigns and meaningful experiences for our community.
Working across marketing, communications, events and community engagement, you will play a central role in turning ideas into polished outcomes. From coordinating major School events and campaign activations to managing suppliers, schedules, registrations and creative assets, you will help ensure every detail comes together seamlessly.
This is a varied and hands-on role in which no two days will be quite the same. You may be coordinating an event venue, preparing campaign collateral, arranging photography and videography, responding to stakeholder enquiries or helping evaluate the success of a recent campaign.
Your responsibilities will include
- Coordinating School events, campaigns and community activations
- Managing schedules, venues, registrations, suppliers, collateral and equipment
- Supporting photography, videography and digital-content production
- Maintaining campaign calendars, databases and digital assets
- Coordinating purchase orders, invoices and expenditure tracking
- Responding professionally to stakeholder and community enquiries
- Supporting campaign reporting and evaluating engagement outcomes
- Providing confident on-the-day support to ensure events run smoothly

About You
- You are an energetic and resourceful coordinator who enjoys making things happen.
- Highly organised and calm under pressure, you can manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the details that make an event or campaign exceptional. You enjoy working with creative ideas but are equally comfortable managing schedules,
suppliers, budgets and logistics.
- You communicate warmly and professionally, build trusted relationships and take pride in delivering work to a consistently high standard. When plans change, you respond with initiative, sound judgement and a solutions-focused mindset.
You will bring
- Relevant experience coordinating events, marketing activities, stakeholder engagement or communications in a busy and complex environment
- Strong organisational and project-coordination skills
- The ability to balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines
- Experience coordinating suppliers, venues, registrations, schedules, collateral and event logistics
- Sound financial administration skills, including purchase orders, invoice processing and expenditure tracking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare accurate and engaging content
- A professional, responsive and customer-focused approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Initiative, sound judgement and practical problem-solving capability
- Experience maintaining content calendars, digital assets, databases or customer relationship management systems
- An understanding of image permissions, privacy and responsible content-management practices
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a cooperative team
- Flexibility to support occasional events and activities outside ordinary working hours
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, social media platforms, content-management systems, CRM software and web analytics tools would be highly regarded. All CGS team members are required to have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, events, business administration or a related discipline,
or equivalent relevant experience
- Excellent written English and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Strong technological literacy across Microsoft Office and relevant digital platforms
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration
- A current National Police Check
- Full working rights in Australia
