We’re seeking an accomplished Engineering & Design Manager to lead our engineering function and drive the next generation of product innovation and excellence.

About the Role

As Engineering & Design Manager, you will provide leadership across product design, innovation, engineering standards, and research and development initiatives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure our products remain safe, reliable, manufactured efficiently, and continue to meet the evolving needs of the mining and materials handling industries.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technical professionals.
- Driving product innovation, research and development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establishing and maintaining engineering standards, systems, and best practices across the business.
- Ensuring designs are practical, manufacturable, serviceable, and compliant with industry standards.
- Championing product standardisation and optimisation through advanced 3D modelling and Product Lifecycle Management systems.
- Supporting manufacturing, aftermarket,



and service teams with technical expertise and product enhancements.
- Overseeing testing, validation, and quality assurance processes to ensure exceptional product performance.
- Maintaining awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends to keep Transmin at the forefront of innovation.

About You

- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 15+ years' experience in engineering and design, preferably within mining, materials handling, or processing industries.
- Demonstrated success leading engineering teams and managing engineering functions.
- Strong experience in product development, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical design, materials handling equipment, manufacturing processes, and industry regulations.
- Experience with engineering design software, ideally Inventor and Vault.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
- A strategic mindset combined with a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Experience developing and implementing engineering systems, processes, and standards.
