Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Mining Engineer or Senior Mining Engineer to join an established open-cut coal operation in the Bowen Basin.

The position will focus heavily on truck-and-shovel planning, working closely with operations to develop practical and achievable plans that support safe and effective production.

n

Key responsibilities:

n

- Develop short-term mine plans and schedules for truck-and-shovel operations
n
- Produce pit, dump, haul-road and rehabilitation designs
n
- Monitor performance against plan and respond to operational changes
n
- Work closely with Production, Drill & Blast, Geology and Survey
n
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and compliance to plan
n
- Provide technical guidance and support to the broader team
n

About you:

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
n




- Previous experience within an open-cut coal operation
n
- Strong truck-and-shovel planning experience
n
- Competency with relevant mine-planning software
n
- Practical mindset and the ability to work closely with onsite operations
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
n
- Leadership or mentoring experience will be highly regarded for the Senior-level position
n
