About the role:

Victoria Police's Continuous Improvement, Technology and Uplift (CIUT) function delivers critical technology services and digital capabilities that support more than 22,000 employees across the state. This role sits within the Intelligence, Investigation and Analytics (II&A;) team. Reporting to the Product Manager of Digital Evidence Management Systems, the role will be delivering technology solutions. The Product Speicalist will focus on supporting interview recording technology, reviewing and sharing, technology and providing police with reliable tools and features that decrease the running cost and administrative burden.

The newly created role will support the interview capture technology and the systems that support it. Our current technology uses fixed digital; cameras and portable units to record interviews in-field and at the police station. The systems then publish the interviews to physical media and cloud services. The product specialist role will work to maintain and upgrade the technology to keep the systems functional and performant.

- Support the Product Manager in the identification, assessment and prioritisation of product enhancements, technical improvements, and operational initiatives.
- Hands on technology leadership and product knowledge.
- Provide specialist product and technical expertise to support the reliable, secure, and effective operation of Digital Evidence Capture products and services.
- Prioritise the initiatives in your space with competing objectives.
- Develop and maintain processes, controls, and reporting that support product governance,



service performance, auditing, data quality and continual improvement.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with operational stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and service providers to support service delivery and product outcomes.
- Give leadership and direction to a team of professional technical and administrative staff to ensure high quality service delivery.
- Actively participate in the agile delivery community; sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge and bring in best practice across the organisation and government.

About You:

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in Information and Communications Technology or related experience in the discipline.
- Experience with Cloud platforms and software as a service.
- Communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience with integrated IT design patterns.
- Advanced knowledge and thought leadership in agile ways of working and embedding an agile culture.

Further Information:

- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
