Join a leading Australian higher education institution undertaking a major enterprise-wide transformation program across Finance, HR, Identity & Access Management, and Enterprise Data & Analytics. As part of this strategic initiative, the organisation is seeking a senior Enterprise Data & Analytics Strategy Lead to shape the future of data, reporting, analytics, planning and AI readiness across the institution.

Your current role

This is a 4-month day-rate contract focused on developing an enterprise-wide Data & Analytics strategy, operating model, business case and investment roadmap. Working closely with executive stakeholders, technology leaders and business units, you will define the future-state vision for enterprise data and analytics, establish governance and operating models, and deliver an executive-ready roadmap aligned to broader ERP, HR and Identity transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading the Enterprise Data & Analytics discovery and future-state design.
- Developing a multi-year roadmap and investment strategy.
- Creating executive-level business cases and funding submissions.
- Defining enterprise data governance, reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Establishing recommendations for a Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence.
- Engaging senior executives and governance committees to drive consensus and strategic decision-making.
- Aligning data and analytics initiatives with major enterprise transformation programs.

What you'll need to succeed

- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise data and analytics strategy,



roadmap or transformation initiatives.
- Proven capability developing executive-level business cases, funding submissions and investment strategies.
- Experience establishing enterprise operating models, governance frameworks and analytics functions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience influencing Executive Leadership Teams, Boards and governance committees.
- Experience aligning data and analytics strategies with ERP, digital transformation or identity management programs.
- The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes and investment narratives.
- Previous experience within the Higher Education sector is essential.

Highly regarded:
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Services or modern cloud analytics platforms.
- Experience designing Data & Analytics Centres of Excellence.
- Enterprise architecture, information management or data governance experience.
