About the Role
We are seeking an experienced EHS Operations Specialist to lead and enhance Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for driving workplace safety initiatives, managing incident investigations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with stakeholders to build a strong safety culture.
The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in occupational health, safety, and environmental practices, with the ability to identify risks, implement effective solutions, and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs that support safe operations and business objectives.
- Lead safety and regulatory risk assessments, prepare detailed reports, and drive corrective and preventative actions.
- Establish and maintain EHS metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes to monitor performance and identify trends.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data to support compliance reporting and strategic decision-making.
- Manage incident reporting processes and oversee investigations into workplace injuries, illnesses, near misses, and safety events.
- Conduct root cause analyses and develop action plans to prevent recurrence of incidents.
- Monitor program effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Facilities, Operations, and Wellness teams, to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Partner with regional and site-based stakeholders to increase program awareness, drive engagement, and ensure consistent EHS standards.
- Maintain compliance with relevant environmental, health,
and safety regulations and industry best practices.

Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in EHS program management and operations.
- Strong knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and standards.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of occupational health and workplace safety practices.
- Experience developing and analysing safety metrics and reporting.
- Understanding of facilities management and engineering principles.
- Environmental management or environmental engineering experience highly regarded.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or qualification in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant EHS certifications (e.g. Cert IV WHS, Diploma WHS, NEBOSH, ISO Lead Auditor, or equivalent).
- Experience working within corporate, technology, manufacturing, research, healthcare, or industrial environments.
