Event Coordinator | 2-Month Temporary Assignment An opportunity exists for an experienced Events Officer to join a government organisation based in Fremantle. Supporting a busy events team during a peak period, you will provide project coordination and administrative support across a range of community and public event activities.
You will play a key role in managing event applications, supporting assessment processes, coordinating stakeholder communications, and liaising with external contractors and event organisers.
Your new role
- Coordinate and administer event applications and approval processes
- Support the assessment and review of event submissions
- Liaise with event organisers, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders
- Monitor project timelines, documentation and deliverables
- Assist with event planning, logistics and operational requirements
- Prepare reports, correspondence and stakeholder communications
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organisational procedures
- Provide project support across multiple events and initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in event coordination, event management or project support
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience working with contractors, suppliers and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cooperative team
- Experience within local or state government
- Experience supporting outdoor, community or public events
- Qualification in Events Management, Project Management, Communications or a related discipline
