ButterBoy is more than a cookie; it’s a vibe. Born out of a love for seriously good baking and even better coffee, we’ve built a brand that people line up for. Now we’re bringing that same energy to our Byron Bay café, and we need a Barista who can pour it into every cup.

The Role

We’re looking for a passionate, personable Barista to join our Byron Bay team. You’ll be the first smile our customers see and the hands behind every flat white, latte, and iced coffee that goes out the door alongside our famous cookies, of course. If you take pride in your coffee, love a fast-paced workplace, and want to be part of a brand that’s genuinely going places, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based coffee consistently, to ButterBoy’s standard
- Deliver warm, genuine, and efficient customer service every order, every time
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked coffee station
- Operate and maintain coffee machines and equipment, flagging any issues promptly
- Work the till, handle cash and card transactions accurately




- Support with stock counts and communicate low stock levels to your manager
- Uphold food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards at all times
- Represent the ButterBoy brand with energy, positivity, and pride
- Work collaboratively with the wider café and kitchen team to keep service running smoothly, especially during peak periods

What We’re Looking For

- Previous barista experience preferred (café, restaurant, or similar high-volume setting)
- Confident, consistent latte art and coffee preparation skills
- A genuine passion for coffee and hospitality
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during busy rushes
- Reliable, punctual, and a great team player
- NSW RSA and/or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain) is a plus
- Availability across weekends and public holidays preferred
