Full-time | $85,000 – $125,000 + superannuation (commensurate with experience)

Take ownership of factory operations, maintenance and continuous improvement within an established South Australian seafood business.

Blaslov Fishing Group is seeking an experienced and hands-on Factory Processing & Maintenance Manager to join our operations in Port Lincoln, South Australia.

This is a key operational position responsible for ensuring our seafood processing facility and associated plant and equipment operate safely, reliably and efficiently.

The successful candidate will take ownership of preventative and reactive maintenance while also working closely with management and production staff to improve factory productivity, equipment reliability, processing efficiency and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities The role will include:

- Coordinate and oversee preventative and reactive maintenance across the processing facility.
- Maintain and improve factory machinery, processing equipment, refrigeration and associated infrastructure.
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and equipment records.
- Work with production staff to improve factory workflow, processing efficiency and equipment utilisation.
- Coordinate tradespeople, contractors and external service providers.
- Source equipment, parts and services and negotiate with suppliers and contractors.
- Assist with capital expenditure planning and equipment upgrades.
- Work collaboratively with senior management to support the ongoing improvement of BFG's processing operations.

About You We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and solutions-focused, with the ability to take ownership of the factory's maintenance requirements while understanding the importance of production efficiency.

You will ideally have





- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and refrigeration systems
- Experience developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs
- Solid reporting, planning and budgeting capabilities
- Experience negotiating with contractors and suppliers
- Experience supervising and coordinating staff
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The flexibility and availability required to respond to operational maintenance needs
- A commitment to workplace safety, food safety and equipment reliability.
- The flexibility to respond to operational and maintenance requirements when necessary.

Qualifications & Licences A mechanical trade qualification or equivalent relevant technical experience will be highly regarded. Experience, qualifications or licences in the following areas would also be advantageous:

- Mechanical trade qualification
- Plate-freezer experience
- Food Safety Supervisor certification or food-safety training
- Ammonia refrigeration experience, where applicable
- Work Health and Safety training
- Experience completing risk assessments and Safe Work Method Statements
- Lockout/Tagout procedure training
- Confined Space certification
- Working at Heights certification
- Forklift licence
- Elevated Work Platform licence
- Current First Aid certificate
- Chemical-handling training

Remuneration An attractive remuneration package of $85,000 – $125,000 plus superannuation will be offered, commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience. A company vehicle and mobile phone will also be provided as part of the employment package.

Due to the seasonal nature of our operations, the successful candidate will be required to work additional hours during peak operational periods, with flexibility outside standard working hours when necessary.
