We are calling for an Expression of Interest for the Wellness and Social Engagement Lead position. The role is a full time permanent position.

This role is responsible for supporting the community and retirement living teams to design and deliver social and wellness programs that meet the needs of older people in the community. The role ensures implementation of innovative engagement, social and wellness programs to meet community needs, service compliance, accreditation standards and delivery of high-quality customer service to existing and potential clients within community service programs.

Core Responsibilities:

- Design and development of social engagement programs that appeal to older people in our community.

- Support and mentor community service Wellness and Social Coordinators to deliver consistent, contemporary and purposeful programs which optimize participant engagement and wellbeing.

- Working with the Allied Health lead, support allied health teams to design and deliver wellness group programs that meet clients’ needs and choices.





- Provision of support to site leadership teams to facilitate client access to wellness and social programs.

- Drive a best practice, evidence-based approach to the sites wellness and social engagement program.

- Monitor wellness and social engagement programs across the community business.

- Contribute to the oversight, investigation and timely follow up of incidents and associated remedial and preventative actions.

Essential Criteria:

- Certificate IV Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure) and /or relevant qualification

- Current driver’s licence is essential.

- Demonstrated experience in leadership and coordination of services, and ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients.

- Ability to logically prioritise varying work demands.

- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.

- An understanding of the ageing process and a commitment to caring for aged clients.
