Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturing business specialising in the production of high-quality forged metal components. Operating in a heavy manufacturing environment, the business supplies precision-forged steel products and components to a range of industries.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Factory Hand-Forklift Operator to join the team in Coburg North on a casual ongoing basis, with the prospect to transition to permanent employment.

This is a varied, hands-on position involving forklift operation, picking and packing, assembly, labouring and general manufacturing duties.

Key Responsibilities

- Operating counterbalance and high-reach forklifts
- Picking and packing orders
- Loading and unloading materials
- Moving steel products and materials around the factory
- General factory and labouring duties
- Assembly work
- Batch testing
- Operating a walkie stacker




- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

About You

- Current Forklift Licence (essential - must have)
- Counterbalance forklift experience (essential - must have)
- High-reach forklift experience (essential - must have)
- Previous factory, warehouse or manufacturing experience
- Trade background or mechanical aptitude highly regarded
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Strong safety focus
