Role Summary:

- Location: Footscray Hospital
- Employment Type: Part-Time (64 hours/fortnight), Fixed Term (until September 2027)
- Salary: RN Educator (Major) + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the role:

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is at the forefront of influencing and developing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care. The CNE fosters cooperative interprofessional working relationships, facilitates a positive working environment for the professional development of all staff, and plans, coordinates and facilitates staff education, training and career development.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop staff performance excellence by providing education, supervision, coaching and mentorship across all levels of expertise.
- Maintain a high-visibility profile within relevant areas of the organisation and provide a clinical resource within the health service.
- Act as a role model in setting clinical standards and achieving high-quality evidence-based nursing care.

About you:

To be considered for this role, applicants will:

- Be a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse & Midwife with a postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Intensive Care or equivalent.
- Possess recent acute neonatal clinical skills with advanced clinical knowledge.
- Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal communication skills including conflict resolution strategies.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary, nursing and education teams.
- Have experience working in an education role and ideally possess or be working towards a postgraduate education qualification.
