Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Diesel Technician to join our Off Highway Field Service Team in a full-time, permanent position based in Melbourne.

As a Field Service Technician, you'll work across a diverse range of applications including power generation, marine, rail, and industrial equipment. This diverse role offers the chance to work on industry-leading products while developing your technical expertise through ongoing training and support. No two days are the same, making it the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and technical challenges.

Working as part of a highly experienced and supportive Off Highway team, you'll spend much of your time on the road delivering exceptional service to our customers. In addition to carrying out hands-on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, you'll build solid relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, becoming a trusted technical partner and valued representative of the Penske brand.

About you

- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic/Diesel Fitter with experience in heavy vehicle, plant, marine or power generation equipment.
- Strong in maintenance, service and repair of heavy duty diesel engines.
- Exhibiting knowledge and experience in mtu, Deutz, Mercedes Benz, Detroit Diesel, Cummins and Allison Transmission products would be highly advantageous.
- Practical working knowledge on the operation of appropriate machinery, tools and equipment.
- Easily work independently, and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- A commitment to, and promotion of safe work practices.
- Have effective communication and teamwork skills, and actively promote Penske’s values and purpose.
