Our client is one of Australia's most trusted providers of land-lease communities for the over-50s market. The business is scaling fast. It's building the financial infrastructure and leadership capability to match that growth. This role sits right at the center of it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client needs a Finance Business Partner Lead in Sydney, reporting directly to the EGM Finance.

This is a genuine leadership role. You'll own a team of finance business partners, shape how finance operates across the business, and make sure numbers don't just get reported. They get used.

WHAT THE JOB ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE

With the business: Sitting alongside senior leaders, digging into their numbers, asking hard questions about performance, helping them decide faster. You're not a passive reporter. You're an active voice in commercial conversations, presenting analysis clearly and pushing back on assumptions when the evidence calls for it.

With your team: Coaching, reviewing work, setting the bar, actually investing in people's growth. You'll inherit a team and make it yours: clarify roles, raise quality, and build a function the rest of the business genuinely values. Elevate the team's capabilities and hold them accountable.

With the systems: Sleeves up on process. The business is scaling, and there's real work establishing robust financial controls and reporting frameworks in NetSuite,



in a business where property and development metrics shape what good actually looks like. This isn't a role where the infrastructure is already built. It's a role where you build it.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

→ A track record of actually leading a finance team, not just being part of one. Seven to ten or more years of progressive finance experience, with a meaningful portion spent leading people

→ Genuine experience in property, development or funds management. It shapes how you'll read the numbers here, so it matters more than it looks on paper. Construction is a close adjacency and worth putting your hand up for too

→ A Bachelor's degree with CPA or CA qualification

→ Solid hands-on experience with NetSuite

→ The ability to translate financial complexity into clear, compelling narratives for non-finance audiences → A track record of building team capability, not just managing outputs

→ Australian citizenship or permanent residency

On-site, Sydney. Package $190K + discretionary bonus.
