Scale Suite is on a mission to build the full-stack finance function for growing Australian businesses: daily finance operations, reporting and analysis, and CFO-level strategy, delivered as one embedded team. Finance is the core, and we mould around each client, with complementary HR services and the operational tasks that sit alongside finance. Clients plug us in and get a complete finance function without hiring one.

We are not an accounting practice. No timesheets, no charge-out rates, no partner pyramid. AI is in daily use across the team, deeper automation is around the corner, and an engineering team is coming on board in the near future to build it.

Our clients are doing seriously engaging things. On any given week we might be steadying a SaaS scale-up's cash flow, standing up a consumer brand's US entity, or building the numbers behind a multi-million dollar capital raise. None of that is hypothetical, it is all recent work. And this role exists because the work is already here: new clients land every month and demand is ahead of us.

The role

This is the roving role. You work across the whole portfolio the way our founder does today: deployed into whichever client needs building, fixing or steadying, then designing it to run without you and moving to the next one. Finance comes first, and the HR and operations work travels with you. Our delivery team holds what you build.

What you'll do

- Deploy into clients across the portfolio: onboarding new ones, steadying wobbly ones, building what is missing.
- Run the finance core: cash flow, reporting rhythms, payment and payroll processes, the numbers founders run on.
- Stand up whole functions from scratch:



end-to-end recruitment for a multi-hundred-person workforce, payment operations with proper segregation of duties and release controls, records and registers that never existed.
- Take the people work that sits beside it: payroll governance, wage audits, pay and progression frameworks, performance management and headcount planning.
- Fix operations: system migrations, approval flows, broken processes, whatever the business actually needs next, finance-related or not.
- Design it to run without you, document it, hand it to our delivery team, and move.
- Work directly with founders every day, and with our founder on the bigger calls.

Who we're after

- Serious finance foundations. CA, CPA or the equivalent earned the hard way. You can hold a client's entire finance function in your head.
- Broad on purpose. You have done real work across HR, operations or systems, and you like not knowing what Monday brings.
- A builder. Processes, controls, systems: you leave things running better than you found them, and provably so.
- Plain-speaking and commercial. Founders trust you fast because you talk about their business, not just their numbers.
- You use AI as a matter of course and you move fast. Days-not-weeks turnaround is normal here.
- Real agency, direct and humble at once, and zero time for office politics.

A solid technical foundation matters. Years on the clock do not. The only thing we really care about is competence, paired with judgement and a great attitude.

What this isn't

Not a siloed role where you do one thing all day. And not consulting: you do not write the deck no-one reads and leave, you build the thing and stay accountable for it.
