Position Summary:

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing, treasury, and compliance activities of the company.

This position serves as a key business partner to the General Manager and department leaders, providing financial insights that support operational efficiency, profitability improvement, and sustainable growth. The role also leads the finance team and works closely with manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and group finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

- Manage all accounting and finance functions for the business.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, IFRS, taxation, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain effective internal controls and financial governance.

Manufacturing Cost Accounting

- Manage product costing, inventory valuation, and standard costing systems.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability drivers.
- Partner with operations to improve cost efficiency and productivity.
- Support inventory management and cost control initiatives.

Budgeting & Forecasting

- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and identify key business trends.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.

Business Partnering





- Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and department managers.
- Support strategic initiatives, capital expenditure evaluations, and business improvement projects.
- Deliver financial insights to support commercial and operational decision-making.

Compliance, Audit & Risk Management

- Coordinate external and internal audits.
- Manage taxation, regulatory filings, and statutory reporting obligations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and corporate governance requirements.

Leadership & Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and systems.
- Foster a high-performance and collaborative working environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent skilled qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of accounting and finance experience.
- Strong manufacturing industry experience, including cost accounting and inventory management.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnering.
- Proficiency in SAP or other Tier-1 ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Preferred

- Experience in the cable, manufacturing, industrial, or engineering sectors.
- Experience working within a multinational environment.
- Knowledge of Australian taxation and corporate compliance requirements.
