Role Description This is a full-time, in office Finance Manager role located in the Greater Melbourne Area.
The Finance
Manager oversees day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and preparation of financial reports for management. The role includes monitoring accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and ledger accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
The Finance
Manager supports financial planning for retail and wholesale activities, provides analysis on sales, margins, and inventory, and helps optimize costs while maintaining quality standards. This position also ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls,
and collaborates with leadership to guide strategic financial decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in accounting practices such as general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience with retail and/or wholesale finance, including inventory, margin, and cost analysis.
- Capability in using accounting software and spreadsheets; comfort with financial data and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or CMA) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a finance or accounting management role; experience in retail or consumer goods is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Melbourne Area and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
