The Role An outstanding chance has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing Australian investment management business with a strong track record and ambitious growth agenda.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, treasury, taxation, budgeting, financial controls and operational finance. Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will play a key role in supporting business growth, enhancing reporting capability and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This position will suit a hands-on and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and is looking to contribute beyond traditional financial reporting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting processes
- Prepare management reports, board reporting packs and financial analysis
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning activities
- Oversee treasury, banking and liquidity management
- Coordinate statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audit requirements
- Maintain robust financial controls, policies and governance frameworks
- Partner with executive stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and decision making
- Manage key relationships with external advisers, service providers and banking partners
- Identify and implement process improvement, systems enhancement and automation opportunities
- Support and develop finance team members while fostering a collaborative culture
Skills & Experience
You are a technically strong and commercially astute finance professional with the ability to operate across both strategic and operational finance activities.
You will bring
- CA or CPA qualification
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Finance role
- Strong financial reporting, technical accounting and compliance capability
- Experience managing audits, tax obligations and financial controls
- Well-developed stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical capability and commercial acumen
- A proactive, adaptable and low-ego approach
- Experience within financial services, funds management, investment management or a regulated environment will be highly regarded
