Retail Zoo

Melbourne

Retail Zoo is the group behind some of Australia’s most recognised QSR and retail food brands, including Boost Juice, Betty’s Burgers and Salsas Fresh Mex. Operating across a multi-brand, multi-site network, Retail Zoo is a private equity-backed business focused on performance, disciplined growth and operational excellence.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Strategy & Transformation Analyst to join Retail Zoo on a 6-month fixed-term contract, supporting the delivery of strategic, commercial and transformation initiatives across the Group.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, this role will work closely with the CFO, Senior Leadership Team and key stakeholders across Finance, Data & Analytics and the wider business. Over the six-month contract, the role will focus on strategic commercial analysis and business case development, improving reporting and planning capability following the Group’s investment in D365 F&O; and its new BI/reporting platform, supporting the quarterly OKR and transformation cadence, and helping drive AI adoption across Finance.

This is a broad, high-impact contract role suited to someone who combines strong financial modelling and analytical capability with commercial judgement, executive-level communication and the ability to drive projects from concept through to implementation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic and commercial initiatives across the Group.
- Provide commercial analysis and recommendations to the CFO, Head of Commercial Finance and Senior Leadership Team.
- Prepare clear, executive-level materials for SLT and Board discussions on strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
- Drive improvements to Finance and Group-wide reporting,

metrics and KPIs, leveraging D365 F&O; and the new BI and reporting platform.
- Partner with Data & Analytics and Finance stakeholders to design and embed practical reporting frameworks and dashboards.
- Support improvements to performance management, reporting cadences and planning processes across the Group.
- Run the quarterly OKR and transformation reporting cycle, providing clear visibility of progress, ownership and key priorities.
- Design and maintain frameworks to track strategic initiatives, transformation activity and delivery against business priorities.
- Identify practical opportunities to apply AI across Finance reporting, planning and commercial analysis, supporting pilots and adoption.
- Enhance the Group’s capital allocation and investment assessment frameworks, including new store and strategic investment decisions.
- Support long-range planning, scenario modelling and the connection between strategic plans, budgets and reforecasts.

About You

- Degree qualified in Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Approximately 5–7 years’ experience across strategy, FP&A;, corporate finance, transactions, transformation or a similar commercial environment.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving capability.

- Demonstrated experience developing business cases and supporting strategic decision-making with senior stakeholders.
- Experience designing, improving or embedding reporting frameworks, ideally alongside an ERP, BI or broader systems transformation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Strong project management capability, with experience taking initiatives from design through to implementation.
- A practical, commercially minded approach and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Curiosity around emerging technology and an interest in applying AI, BI and automation to real business problems.
- Exposure to D365 F&O;, Power BI, Fabric or similar ERP and reporting platforms will be highly regarded.
- Experience within consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, multi-site retail, QSR or franchising environments will also be highly regarded.

What’s In It for You?

- Access to our 24/7 wellbeing and support platform.
- Generous team member discounts across our brands.
- Hybrid working, with three days in the office and flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
- Broad exposure to senior leaders and high-impact strategic projects, with the prospect to make a visible contribution within a six-month period.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical finance function within a complex and growing multi-brand organisation. You will play a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving systems and processes, and building a scalable finance operations function across Retail Zoo.
