About the role
Investigate unusual customer and transaction activity, including AML/CTF and sanctions alerts. Conduct end-to-end financial crime investigations and prepare Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) where required. Assess, mitigate and escalate financial crime and regulatory risks. Ensure compliance with AUSTRAC obligations, internal policies and industry standards. Maintain accurate documentation, audit trails and case records.

About you
- Robust analytical and investigative skills
- Sound understanding of financial crime risk and regulatory obligations
- Ability to make risk-based decisions and manage competing priorities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience in Transaction Monitoring, AML/CTF Investigations, KYC, CDD & ECDD, Sanctions Screening, Quality Assurance, or Financial Crime Risk & Compliance
