Glasgow Engineering is a general engineering machine shop specialising in breakdown repairs. We also overhaul a wide range of gearboxes, pumps and provide offsite labour for various projects.

We are looking for a trade qualified, experienced skilled metal machinist / fitter to help us keep production on time and maintain our high standards.

About the role

- Must be competent on manual lathes (medium/large) and milling machines.
- Must be able to achieve fine tolerances and be able to read engineering drawings.
- Must have fitting experience
- Operation of horizontal and/or vertical borers would be advantageous.
- Must hold permanent resident status or Australian citizenship for work authorisation.

Skills and experience Fitter/Machinist - Duties include but are not limited to:





- Turning using small and medium sized manual lathes
- Milling using small and medium sized manual miller
- Use radial arm drilling machine
- Horizontal/vertical boring
- Fitting, both onsite and off
- Must hold Cert 3 in Engineering Fitting & Machining

Our work is diverse and provides the opportunity to take on a wide range of challenges. The right candidate must be a motivated self-starter with at least 1 year recent post trade experience. The remuneration package will be negotiated in line with the skills and experience you bring to the role.
