Chandler Macleod is partnering with a Tier 1 mining operator to recruit experienced A‑Grade Electricians for fixed plant electrical shift maintenance roles across major iron ore operations (processing plants) and Port Operations maintenance teams.

If you’re strong on breakdown response, fault-finding, isolations, and keeping critical assets running, we want to hear from you.

The opportunity

You’ll join a high-performing maintenance team responsible for the protected, reliable operation of fixed plant assets in a continuous operations environment. These positions suit electricians who are hands-on, safety-led, and confident troubleshooting in the field.

Assets you may work across (depending on location):

- Ore processing fixed plant: crushers, conveyors & belt systems, pumps, screens, stackers/reclaimers and associated infrastructure
- Port operations fixed plant: ship loaders, car dumpers, conveyors & drives, stackers/reclaimers, and port electrical infrastructure
- Switchrooms / MCCs / VSDs and PLC-controlled equipment

Key responsibilities

- Execute planned and reactive electrical maintenance on fixed plant equipment
- Fault-find and diagnose issues quickly to restore production-critical assets
- Complete isolations, lock-out/tag-out, re-energisation and permit compliance to site standards
- Maintain clear maintenance reporting / work orders (site CMMS such as SAP may be used)
- Contribute to shutdown support, reliability improvement, and safety initiatives

Critical requirements (applications encouraged if you meet these)





- WA A‑Grade Electrical Licence (essential)
- Demonstrated experience in fixed plant electrical maintenance (mining, ore processing, ports, heavy industrial)
- Strong fault-finding / troubleshooting capability in a continuous operating environment
- Strong safety focus and confidence with isolation and permitting systems
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
- Point of hire Perth

Highly regarded (not essential)

- HV switching (or exposure to HV environments)
- PLC / industrial control systems exposure
- Instrumentation exposure
- Confined Space / Working at Heights
- MSIC (for Port Operations roles) or ability to obtain
- SAP / maintenance management experience
