About Tesselaar Flowers

Tesselaar Flowers is a renowned leader in the wholesale flower industry and operates under the Wafex Australia umbrella. Based in Belmont, we supply florists across Perth with both locally grown and imported flowers for retail stores, weddings, events and everything in between.

About the Role

This is a hands-on sales role with plenty of variety. You’ll look after a group of existing customers, build solid relationships with them, help them find the right products and look for opportunities to grow their business with us.

We’re a small team, so everyone gets involved and no task is too hard. Some mornings you’ll be helping customers choose their flowers, others you’ll be pulling orders, checking new stock, solving last-minute requests or working with the team on what’s coming through the market.

It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys dealing with people, is confident having conversations with customers and taking phone calls, likes being busy and doesn’t mind getting out from behind a desk.

What you’ll be doing

- Looking after a portfolio of existing customers and building strong, long-term relationships.
- Helping customers find the right flowers and products for what they need.
- Keeping customers up to date with new stock, availability, pricing and anything else they need to know.
- Picking and pulling customer orders and making sure everything is up to standard before it goes out.
- Following up with customers after market and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
- Helping customers with shortages, substitutions and those inevitable last-minute requests.
- Working with our buying and sales teams to make sure we’re buying and selling the right stock.
- Keeping an eye on what’s selling, what’s trending and what customers are asking for.
- Helping with checkout and the general running of the market when needed.




- Working towards sales and gross profit targets across your customer accounts.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has some sales or account management experience and enjoys dealing with customers.
- Is confident communicating with different types of people and building relationships.
- Is organised and can keep on top of multiple things at once.
- Is proactive and happy to get stuck in rather than waiting to be told what to do.
- Is comfortable working in a busy, hands-on workplace.
- Has a good eye for detail and takes pride in getting things right.
- Is comfortable working with sales systems and basic numbers.
- Works well as part of a small team.
- Has a positive attitude and isn’t afraid of a little early morning hustle.

You don’t necessarily need to have worked in the flower industry before. We’re more interested in your approach, your people skills and your ability to learn.

The Practical Stuff

- Monday to Friday with a 6am start
- Full-time position based in Belmont
- The role involves being on your feet, lifting and carrying and moving around the market, including picking and packing orders.
- We’re open to discussing some flexibility around working hours for the right person.
